Our Solar Installation Services In Didcot
We provide more than rooftop panels alone. Our wider renewable energy services allow us to consider generation, storage, vehicle charging & future electricity requirements together, helping you choose a solution that makes sense now without losing sight of what you may need later.

Domestic Solar Panel Systems
Our domestic solar installations are designed around the individual home rather than a standard package. We consider factors such as usable roof space, shading, household consumption & future electricity requirements when discussing an appropriate system. The aim is to help homeowners generate more of their own electricity, reduce reliance on grid-supplied power & create a system suited to the way they actually use energy.

Solar Battery Storage Systems
Battery storage can help you retain surplus electricity for use later rather than relying on all solar generation being consumed at the moment it is produced. We provide battery storage solutions alongside new PV installations, while compatible existing systems may also be suitable for a battery upgrade. The right capacity depends on generation, consumption patterns & wider energy goals.

Commercial Solar Energy Systems
Businesses with suitable premises can use solar generation as part of a longer-term strategy for reducing reliance on purchased electricity & improving their approach to energy use. Our commercial solar service is designed around the building, consumption profile & operational requirements rather than applying a domestic system at a larger scale.

Off-Grid Solar Energy Systems
Where a conventional grid connection is unavailable or unsuitable, an off-grid system can combine solar generation with appropriate storage & supporting equipment to create a more independent electricity supply. Every off-grid solar system needs to be assessed against expected loads, available generation & storage requirements, making careful system design particularly important.

New-Build Solar Energy Systems
Introducing renewable energy during the construction stage creates an opportunity to consider panel layouts, cable routes, inverter positioning, battery storage & future electrical requirements before the property is complete. Our new-build solar packages support self-build homeowners, builders, architects & construction teams looking to integrate solar into a wider project.

Developer Solar Energy Packages
We also work with housing developers & project teams requiring renewable energy planning across multiple properties. Our developer solar packages provide a route for discussing system design, project coordination, battery integration & future EV charging requirements as part of the wider development programme.

EV Charger Installation Services
An EV charger can form part of a wider home or commercial energy strategy, particularly when solar generation & battery storage are being considered together. Our EV charger installation service covers homes & businesses, with recommendations based on the property, electrical installation, parking arrangements & charging requirements.
Build A Complete Home Energy System
Some customers already have a renewable energy system but need help protecting, maintaining or developing it further.
Our solar maintenance services can help with ongoing system care where required, while solar panel bird proofing is available where nesting birds are causing a specific issue around an existing array.
For customers planning future improvements, the Capital Club provides an ongoing route back to our team for aftercare, renewable energy advice & discussions around compatible upgrades. Its purpose is to keep the relationship useful beyond the original installation rather than treating commissioning as the end of the customer journey.Â
You can also review our completed renewable energy projects to see examples of different solar & battery configurations we have delivered across Oxfordshire. Existing documented projects demonstrate that specifications vary considerably from property to property, reinforcing why we favour tailored design.Â
Our team is committed to helping you achieve substantial long-term savings while supporting a greener, more sustainable community.
Solar Designed Around Didcot Homes & Future Energy Needs
The local housing landscape makes tailored renewable energy planning particularly relevant. The area forms part of the wider Garden Town programme, while significant residential growth is planned through developments including North East Didcot. South Oxfordshire District Council states that the North East development alone has land allocated for 2,030 homes.
That mix of existing properties & substantial new development creates two distinct solar requirements. Established homeowners may be considering retrofit PV, battery storage or EV charging, while self-builders, developers & construction teams have an opportunity to incorporate renewable energy infrastructure much earlier in the design process.
For a homeowner, the most useful starting point remains the individual property. Roof space, orientation, shading, electricity consumption & future plans can all influence what should be installed. If you are researching the process before requesting an assessment, our solar panel installation guide explains the wider considerations in more detail.

A very positive experience from start to finish. Dan was the only installer coming out to have a look at the actual situation. He promised a quote with no surprises and that is what it turned out to be. His workmen are of a very good standard and disruption on the installation was kept to a minimum. Early on an installation date was agreed, which was kept. Any changes were clearly communicated, with pros and cons of alternatives. The solar installation was activated and clear instructions given on how to operate, and where all the components are. Warmly recommended.Posted on Google![]()

Capital Solar installed our panels and batteries earlier this month. I am so glad they did my installation. The electrical and roof workmanship is excellent, both what is visible and the wiring that is hidden in the attic. Twelve 530W panels were installed on three parts of our roof in one day. A talented and trustworthy team who work well together.Posted on Google![]()

Wow, I could not have been more impressed. The guys managed to complete the install in a day and the workmanship looks outstanding. I had 16x Aiko 535W panels + a Sigenergy system put in. Even prior to install and me accepting the quote, Capital stood out to me because it was the owner, Dan Reed who surveyed the property, generated the quote, recommended the system, and beyond. Larger companies simply do not offer this single point of contact service. Things that stood out to me - The crew that attended were in-house, and Dan was on-site doing electrical work as well. It's nice to have the owner of the company do the work as well. You don't often get this level of accountability. - The conduit was done beautifully - everything was all at right angles - DC cabling nicely clipped inside the loft - A lot of installers don't take the time and attention to do this - The electricians taking a step back to double check everything was straight before fitting - Dusting and wiping any areas they worked on (and beyond) - Super courteous and treated my home with care - Happy to answer my questions and be good humoured throughout - Sourced and replaced roof tiles for me that were cracked which WASN'T even their fault And to top it off, I had done some PoE doorbell wiring a few months ago. It wasn't very neat and it wasn't in conduit. They tidied it up and put it in trunking for me WITHOUT me asking. They just did it because they took pride in their work. I would recommend a Solar PV + Battery system to anyone, and I would definitely recommend you let Dan and his team at Capital Solar to take care of you.Posted on Google![]()

Excellent service from Capital Solar. We inherited an older solar panel system and with multiple power cuts in the area, no generator reading was displaying. After other companies didn't even response to my enquiry for help, Dan took the time to troubleshoot the problem there and then on the phone with me. He quickly diagnosed the problem and got everything working again without even needing a site visit. Knowledgeable, helpful and incredibly patient, I was blown away with the customer service. Highly recommended!Posted on Google![]()

I called up Dan at Capital Solar for some advice about logistics/costs and the pros and cons of getting panels for my mother. He was very personable and knowledgeable, and he happily talked with me for an extended period of time. He was super helpful and I'd recommend Capital Solar to anyone looking for any information or have interest in going solar energy.Posted on Google![]()

10 Star if possible. I was quite nervous about getting solar installed, especially with all the grid and DNO paperwork, but Dan and the team at Capital Solar made the whole journey incredibly smooth. Right from the start, Dan kept me constantly in the loop about the DNO approval process, so I never felt left in the dark or wondering what was happening behind the scenes. When it came to the actual installation phase, everything ran exactly like clockwork. The scaffolding arrived and was taken down precisely on the dates we’d agreed, which was a great start. On the install day itself, the team was brilliant. They were friendly, supportive, and clearly took a lot of pride in their work. They actually listened to how I wanted the system laid out, patiently answered all of my questions, and finished the entire job right on time. They even went above and beyond by spotting and replacing a few broken roof tiles while they were up there, which gave me huge peace of mind. To top it all off, Dan checked in a couple of days later just to ensure the system was running perfectly and that I was happy with everything. I am honestly so satisfied with the final setup and the level of care they showed. If you want a reliable, professional team you can actually trust with your home, I can’t recommend Capital Solar enough.Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
We work across a broad part of Oxfordshire. Send us your postcode & a brief description of what you are considering and we can confirm whether we can help with your project.
The first step is to tell us about your property, current electricity use & what you want the system to achieve. We can then assess your requirements before recommending an appropriate next step.
There is no single price that applies to every property. Cost depends on factors including system size, equipment specification, roof requirements, battery storage & the work needed to complete the installation.
A tailored quotation is therefore more useful than relying on a generic package price.
Availability changes according to current demand & the requirements of individual projects. We recommend contacting us for current lead times rather than relying on historic installation schedules.
Many systems can accommodate battery storage later, subject to the existing equipment, electrical setup & compatibility.
If future storage is already part of your thinking, discussing it during the original system design can help us consider your longer-term plans from the outset.
Solar generation can form part of a wider energy setup that includes EV charging. The most suitable arrangement depends on when the vehicle is charged, system generation, household demand, charger specification & whether battery storage is included.
Yes. We work with developers, builders, architects & self-build customers as well as homeowners.
Early renewable energy planning can make it easier to consider panel layouts, electrical infrastructure, storage & future vehicle charging alongside the wider build.
Our support does not have to end when the system is commissioned. Capital Club has been developed to give customers a clearer route to ongoing advice, aftercare & discussions around suitable future upgrades.
Choosing solar is not simply about putting as many panels as possible on a roof. The system needs to make sense for the property, the way electricity is used & what you may need from it in the years ahead.
